Rents equipment to ticketed customers, ranging from school groups, first timers to advanced skiers and riders and maintain high standards whilst fitting our guests with the appropriate boots, skis, poles, snowboards or part sets where required.

Determines customers' requirements and advises on product range, price, and availability; completes required paperwork and enters rental agreement into the computer system; processes payment; provides any necessary information to the customer; monitors state of equipment and ensures it is functioning and clean; inspects equipment before it is taken out of the facility and on return; demonstrates the use of equipment and arranges for any required cleaning and repair work.

• Works indoors in an office/workshop environment and outdoors when in the yard to access equipment and escort clients.
• Work occurs at counters and deals directly with the public.

• Typically light but occasionally up to medium work demand levels.
• Staff frequently stand but can occasionally sit at desks or benches when dealing with customers.
• Staff occasionally walk about the work area.
• Lifting and carrying may not be required if purely working in a sales/clerical role. Some roles may specify direct handling of equipment in which case the requirement for lifting will occasionally be in the medium range.
• Stretching and twisting movements are not typically a significant requirement, but can be occasionally required if the job involves direct handling of equipment.
• Bending, squatting or crouching movements are not a significant component of the job but can be occasionally required if the job involves direct handling of equipment.
• Frequent to constant repetitive hand and finger movements are necessary for operating electronic tills, cash-handling and when operating a computer.
• Use of office hand-held equipment such as pens and calculators will be occasional.
• Mental skills necessary include writing, numerical, analysis, sales and customer service skills.

An NZQF Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education (ANZSCO Skill Level 5).

For some occupations a short period of on-the-job training may be required in addition to or instead of the formal qualification. In some instances no formal qualification or on-the-job training may be required.
