Monitors and ensures the accuracy of the prices of a business’ goods and services against in-house pricing directives and advertised prices.
Typical work tasks
Ensuring all prices, specials, and promotions on goods or services are correctly presented to customers, instore via accurate ticketing, or online, and again at the point of sale. Overseeing cyclic and non-cyclic repricing activities. May produce or alter price tickets. May lead a team of shopfloor staff who price goods as part of their duties. Typical work environment
- Predominantly indoor and sometimes outdoor retail or wholesale shop environment, and/or office environment (e.g. online retail only).
- Will work on the shop-floor and at counters with computerised tills, and/or at office desks usually with a computer workstation.
- Usually work occurs in adequately heated and ventilated spaces.
