Creates, maintains and manages technical quality assurance processes and procedures to assess efficiency, validity, value and functional performance of computer systems and environments, and audits systems to ensure compliance with, and adherence to, accredited internal and external industry quality standards and regulations. May supervise the work of ICT quality assurance teams.

• Schedules and conducts quality audit inspections, and analyses and reviews systems, data and documentation; identifies variations and potential high risk areas in securing adherence to standards and procedures; recommends corrective action plans and improvements in the resolution of non-compliance with standards detected through monitoring and auditing of processes and procedures; communicates, educates and liaises with users and management to ensure awareness and adherence to standards, procedures and quality control issues and activities.

• Typically works indoors in offices and meeting rooms.

• Works in adequately lit, heated, ventilated and clean, well maintained workspaces.

• Sedentary physical demand.

• Frequently sits in offices, in meetings and at a computer workstation.

• Stands and walks around the office and the wider workspace to confer with colleagues, attend meetings and to provide technical support and guidance.

• Lifting, carrying or pulling is unlikely to be a significant component of the role.

• Bending, squatting, crouching, stretching, twisting, and climbing are not like likely to be significant components of the job.

• Frequent repetitive hand and finger movements are required when using hand tools and equipment including screw drivers, writing instruments, calculators and computers.

• Occasional driving of vehicles may be required to facilitate attendance at meetings or to visit satellite locations. Driving is however, not a significant component of the job.

• Mental skills needed include high cognitive function with analytical, computing, report writing, communication, interpersonal, planning, organisational, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making abilities and working knowledge of network administration, software installation, repair tools and design.

• A relevant tertiary qualification or at least five years applicable experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). In some instances particular experience and/or on-the-job training may be required.
