Creates and manipulates computer animation, audio, video and graphic image files into multimedia programmes to produce data and content for CD-ROMS, information kiosks, multimedia presentations, web sites, mobile telephone resources, electronic gaming environments, e-commerce and e-security solutions, and entertainment and education products.

Analyses, designs and develops internet sites applying a mixture of artistry and creativity with software programming and scripting languages and interfacing with operating environments; communicates with network specialists regarding web-related issues, such as security and hosting web sites, to control and enforce internet and web server security, space allocation, user access, business continuity, web site backup and disaster recovery planning; designs, develops and integrates computer code with other specialised inputs, such as image files, audio files and scripting languages, to produce, maintain and support web sites; assists in analysing, specifying and developing internet strategies, web-based methodologies and development plans.

• Works indoors in offices and meeting rooms.
• Outdoor work is unlikely to be required.
• Works in adequately lit, heated, ventilated and clean, well maintained workspaces.

• Sedentary physical demand, frequently sits in offices, in meetings and at computer workstations.
• Stands and walks around the office and the wider workspace to consult others.
• Lifting, carrying or pulling, is not a significant requirement of the job.
• Bending, squatting, crouching, stretching, twisting, and climbing is not a significant component of the job.
• Frequent to constant repetitive hand and finger movements are likely when using a computer and other general office equipment.
• Occasional driving of vehicles may be required to facilitate visits to clients’ premises.
• Mental skills necessary include a high level of cognitive functioning with analytical, computing, report writing, communication, interpersonal, planning, organisational, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making capabilities and a working knowledge of network administration, software installation, repair tools and design.

A relevant tertiary qualification or at least five years applicable experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). In some instances particular experience and/or on-the-job training may be required.
