Oversees loading and unloading of aircraft to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations.

• Ensure the aircraft flies safely by producing loading plans.
• Produce weight and balance documentation for aircraft.
• Supervises loading crews and procedures.
• Monitor dangerous goods loading.
• Perform troubleshooting related to loading.
• Use manual fall-back procedures as required.
• May fly with cargo to ensure its safety during flight.

• Works in offices and outdoor airport environments.
• Works in all weather conditions.
• Often works in noisy, smelly, wet, or cold conditions.
• Indoor work areas are likely to be adequately ventilated and heated.
• Usually operates as part of a team.

• Sedentary to light physical demand, medium if required to assist with a loading situation.
• Stands and walks frequently to constantly.
• Stretching up and across is likely to be required when operating certain controls.
• Lifting and carrying is not a significant component of the job.
• Bending, squatting or crouching is required when carrying out inspections.
• Frequent repetitive hand and finger movements are required when operating communication devices and computers.
• Driving is not a significant component of the job.
• Mental skills necessary include a high level of cognitive functioning with, interpreting, computing, communication, interpersonal, planning, organisational, problem solving, critical thinking, mathematical, and decision-making capabilities.

• A relevant tertiary qualification or at least five years applicable experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). In some instances particular experience and/or on-the-job training may be required.
• Some roles may require specific aviation-related accreditations.

• There are opportunities for flexibility of movement.
• May work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
