Determines the market for new goods and services, develops advertising strategies, and evaluates the best business sites for commercial organisations.

• Works indoors in offices and meeting rooms at their own business or at the business of clients.

• Works in adequately heated, lit, ventilated and clean, well maintained offices.

• Sedentary physical demand.

• Frequent to constant sitting in offices or in meetings to research, prepare questionnaires and analyse data.

• Occasionally stands, walks and moves to attend meetings, make presentations and conduct surveys.

• Lifting, carrying or pulling is not a significant component of the job.

• Stretching and twisting is not a significant component of the job.

• Occasional to frequent repetitive hand and finger movements are required when using a keyboard and mouse or writing.

• Occasional driving of cars may be required to undertake surveying or going to visit clients.

• Mental skills necessary include a high level of cognitive functioning with interpersonal, communication, research, mathematical, administration, project management, interviewing, information/data-gathering and evaluation, organisational, planning, decision-making, and report-writing and presentation capabilities.

• A relevant tertiary qualification or at least five years applicable experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). In some instances particular experience and/or on-the-job training may be required.
