Plans, organises, directs, controls and co-ordinates quality accredited ICT projects. Is accountable for the day-to-day operations of resourcing, scheduling, prioritisation and task coordination, and meeting project milestones, objectives and deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets.

• Analyses information needs and specifies technology to meet those needs; formulates and directs information and communication technology (ICT) strategies, policies and plans; directs the selection and installation of ICT resources and the provision of user training; directs ICT operations and sets priorities between system developments, maintenance and operations; oversees the security of ICT systems.

• Works indoors in offices and meeting rooms within organisations of varying sizes including large corporations, head offices and medium to small enterprises in the public and private sector. IT services may be permanently located within an organisation or contracted from external service providers.
• Outdoor work is unlikely to be required.
• Works in adequately heated, ventilated and clean, well maintained offices.

• Sedentary work.
• Frequently sits in offices or in meetings when involved in planning, administration and development tasks.
• Stands and walks frequently in office and site areas.
• Lifting, carrying or pulling is not a necessary or significant component of this role.
• Bending, squatting or crouching is unlikely to be required.
• Frequent repetitive hand and finger movements is required when using hand tools to install hardware including repair tools and testing equipment and in the use of keyboards and a mouse.
• Occasional travel may be required to access an organisationﾒs satellite branches.
• Driving may be occasionally required to visit satellite branches of an organisation.
• Mental skills necessary include a high level of cognitive functioning with communication, interpersonal, technical, computational, design, planning, organisational, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.

• A relevant tertiary qualification or at least five years applicable experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). In some instances particular experience and/or on-the-job training may be required.
